Clermont Mine is an exciting new open cut operation currently in start-up phase.  Located 11km north of the township of Clermont in the Western Bowen Basin region of Central Queensland, the site will produce 12.2mtpa of high quality export thermal coal when it reaches full capacity in 2013. The mine is being developed as a replacement for the existing Blair Athol Coal Mine. Clermont is approximately 15 kilometres east of Blair Athol and will utilise existing Blair Athol onsite infrastructure. Principally this will include the product stockyard, stacker reclaimers and train load out facility.
 
We are currently recruiting an experienced Mining Supervisor for our Clermont operations.  The primary focus of this role is to lead the team in achieving the agreed output team goals and to meet coal mining and safety objectives. 
 
You will be responsible for managing controllable cost drivers such as equipment hours, work performance and attendance together with providing a safe working environment for the team ensuring everyone complies with safety standards and practices.  You will also be required to achieve the agreed weekly, monthly and yearly targets for tonnage, delivery timing and quality and developing systems for monitoring performance of key processes.
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate previous supervisory experience with coal mining and coal quality exposure.  You will display a motivated and flexible approach with strong communication skills and the ability to drive a team in a high pressured environment.
