    An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join the Environmental Management team.  Based in Brisbane within the South Queensland Operating Centre, this is a fantastic career opportunity to secure a position within a company driving a culture based on teamwork, respect and integrity. 
      
     
    Bringing your 5 to 8 years experience, the successful application will be responsible for;
     
    • Preparing Environmental Assessments and management guidelines/plans

    • Providing environmental advice to large infrastructure projects from master planning, design and construction to operation phases

    • Ensuring all environmental legislation and policy is implemented whilst promoting considerations of all environmental aspects in project planning, design, construction and operational decommissioning

    • Environmental Management Auditing

    • Preparing approvals to agencies

    • Coordinating and managing EES, EIS and work approval processes

    • Coordinating specialist studies

     
    As a highly experienced Consultant you will bring to the role:
     
    • Demonstrated skills in client management and success in repeat business 

    • An ability to provide innovative solutions to a diversity of clientele

    • Previous Project Management of environmental jobs on time and to budget

    • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to liaise/coordinate the input of other GHD service lines i.e. civil, planning, water/wastewater and industrial, etc.

    • A promoter of team culture combined with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff

    • Proven success in identifying and creating new business opportunities

     
    This key position will require a professional, degree qualified (Environmental Engineer, Environmental Science or related discipline) individual with strong negotiation skills combined with a co-operative teamwork approach.  Working in a project environment you will have knowledge of relevant project management systems and the capacity to juggle a multitude of tasks whilst ensuring all information is accurate and reporting is completed within strict timeframes.
