The tablelands are a group of small towns in Queensland situated about 80 kilometres from Cairns. It's a unique part of Queensland which has plenty to offer tourists with it's abundance of untouched lakes and rainforests. There are many tours which can take you through the area or if you prefer you can go horse riding through some of this superb countryside. Other tours in the area include the nocturnal wildlife tour, which will show you native Australian animals in their natural habitat.
